Cash stolen from elderly woman while she was sleeping in her Patchway home

Thieves entered a 92-year-old woman's home in Patchway and took cash from her bag while she was taking a nap.

The theft occurred at about 1pm yesterday (18 October) in the Stoke Lane/Amberley Road area. The victim was sleeping when two men came into her home through an unlocked door and took the cash.

She woke and sent them on their way. A blue tipper-type truck was seen in the area recently and police are keen to trace the occupants.
