Pieminister has confirmed it no longer intends to relocate its factory to south Wales and will be staying at its factory in Charlton Road, Westbury-on-Trym.

The company had said in April last year it was likely to move its production and 35 jobs to a fully-equipped factory in Llantrisant, near Cardiff.

Company co-founder Tristan Hogg said at the time the lease at the premises it was using was due to run out in early 2012 and that the owner had put it up for sale.

But the company has reversed its decision after raising enough cash to purchase the property and the deal was finally sealed on Friday (September 7).

Staff were given the option of relocation to the South Wales factory but the news means that their jobs will now stay in Bristol.
