Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, the chef-proprietor at Michelin-starred restaurant Casamia in Westbury on Trym, will be competing in the South West regional heats of the popular BBC2 show Great British Menu.
A new series of the popular programme will hit television screens next Monday evening.
The chefs are competing for the opportunity to cook at a special banquet at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate 25 years of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day and to celebrate the unsung heroes of charity work.
To progress to the national final Peter has to cook four dishes for a panel of four judges including Tom Kerridge and Phil Howard, both of whom are also Michelin-starred chefs.
