Discount Card Scheme Launched by the Lord Mayor
A large number of local businesses met with the Lord Mayor of Bristol last week to launch the new WoT Business Association Discount Card Scheme. The initiative aims to encourage people to "shop local" and bring more people into the village to shop and do business.
At the launch the Lord Mayor commented that "having such a positive thing as the discount card will retain more of Westbury's money in Westbury' and that the
scheme is "potentially the most important thing that's happened to Westbury for
a very long time."
Membership of the scheme costs members of the public just £3 a year to join, and for this they will receive their Discount Card and a list of discounts, offers and incentives from 30 or so (and growing) Westbury businesses and shops. To get involved just go to the WOTBA website - http://tinyurl.com/6cr4pan - or visit one of the Local Discount Card Distributers in the village at Garden Trappings, Mailboxes Etc, Mogfords, Westbury Trym & Tone, Victory Plum, Devereux & Co, James the Greengrocer and Bristol's Mobility Centre.
