Just got back from the Neighbourhood Partnership meeting at Henleaze Junior School, chaired by councillor Claire Campion Smith. Good turnout of more than 75 people from across the three wards - Henleaze, WoT and Stoke Bishop. Lots to tell you about!

I was not at the meeting but I have heard from a couple of sources that John Gourlandris was a bit over vocal in his opinions about what was presetned. One visitor to the Local Produce market on Saturday, which was very well supported said he would not attend another Neighbourhood Partnership meeting if that is how they were conducted!

I can only imagine that that was the elderly resident from Henleaze who did talk at length about children playing in the park - he said they weren't being anti-social as such, just noisy! And thought that the area should be for the elderly, so they could sit out on the benches. Did seem to be stacked against the young which was a shame as there was no youngsters there to have their say.
Let's hope the Youth sub-group of the Neighbourhood Partnership gets the support it needs from the elderly so that they can live in peace!
