Got the post-Christmas blues? Your bank balance has probably taken a hammering, what with Christmas and the sales - and the rain may also have dampened your spirits! So if you fancy cheering yourself up - with lunch or a night out - here's a quick guide to some places you can head for in Westbury-on-Trym which offer good deals.

The Post Office Tavern boasts "the cheapest pint in the village" - Foster's and Courage Best Bitter are £1.99 a pint. The pub, on Westbury Hill, also has a 2 for 1 offer on pizzas on Mondays.

Meanwhile the Victoria in Chock Lane says it won't be pasing on VAT increase to its customers during January or February.

You can save money by taking your own drinks to The Villager restaurant (subject to a corkage fee).

And there's a great £3.75 meal deal at The Mouse from Mondays to Thursdays (noon to 2pm and 5pm-7pm).

Let us know of any other good meal deals you've come across in Westbury-on-Trym!
