A three-day festival of bees opens at the University of Bristol's Botanic Garden in Stoke Bishop tomorrow.

The Bristol Honey Show and Festival aims to raise awareness and understanding of the important role that bees and other animals play in pollination.

Avon Beekeepers' Association will be demonstrating techniques and visitors will get to see inside a live hive.

There will be exhibits by the University's School of Biological Sciences, local cider apple producers and the Gloucestershire Orchard Group.

The festival runs until Bank Holiday Monday from 10am to 4.30pm.
