Something must be done about The Foresters

Something must be done about The Foresters.
I thought the closing down of drinking den in Aug 2008, and the reopening of it was to give it a new start.
I had a good night with friends at the Prince of Wales last night, walking through the village at about 8.30pm to get there.
There was a vey drunk man outside The Foresters effing and blinding very loudly about being headbutted by a man's girlfiriend/wife in the pub - I won't repeat what he called her, but I will say it was very unpleasant.
The other man who, also looked drunk, was keeping his distance from the angry drunk, saying that he would "ruin it for everyone" if he called the police to the pub.
I don't know what other people think, but it seems to me that it is only a handful of people that frequent The Foresters.
This pub is an attractive building in centre of the village. It is in a great location and yet most of the village wouldn't dare cross the threshold because they don't want to be met by anti-social drunk, violent unpleasant people.
It can't imagine that it is a profitable business. The kitchens have been closed so no food is served and I have never seen it busy at any time of the day or night.
Isn't it about time that the village claimed back its lovely pub from the handful of anti-social drunks that frequent it? There must be somebody out there that could turn this pub around and make it a friendly pub with decent food along the lines of The Cambridge in Redland?
Does anybody know if there are plans to improve the current situation?
Comments
I note all these comments are from 2009 perhaps you would like to review mu comments as someone who actually this quite close to this pub in my comments about The Forresters pub over the Easter weekend This pub has changed lanadlords twice since the comments above there is now two women running it and there appears to be no control and the police are involved yet again.

ReportI have just walked past the Foresters, and it is dead in there, except for a handful of old men. Such a shame to see it devoid of life on a Saturday night. The Mouse in comparison was full to the rafters of men and women of a mixture of ages!

ReportCider_I_Up, you seem to be happy that the pub is a drinking den for a small majority.
I don't want to go into a pub that would have any sort of trouble in there, even if "the bar staff nip it in the bud very quickly". The fact that they have to do this at all suggests that the pub still attracts undesirables.
I think it would be so much nicer if everybody felt welcome to pop in for a snack and a drink in their lunch hour, or after work and in the evenings.
Don't you think The Foresters hasn't reached its potential yet? It could be doing a roaring trade in the location it occupies.

ReportI cannot agree with anthing that has been said in this artical i work in the village and ever since the new managers have been put in there I have found they are very friendly and are trying to make a go of the pub all the times that I have been in there there has been no troub le or if there was a little bit of trouble the bar staff have nipped it in the bud very quickly. On the night in question the person who was outside shouting the odds has actually been barred from the Forresters but he was not going to take no for an answer and this is why he was kicking off.
Well I would just like to say thank you to the new Management and there very helpful and polite staff. Good luck with your venture and I hope to be in with then next couple of days for a nice cold pint.

ReportIts a grat shame to see how such a nice pub has sunk so low.I have lived in the village since 1974,and remember when my parents dined there quite often.I think that if the owners spent £1.000,000.on it and still kept it as a pub it will still fail. The only way out of it is as they say now,"to think out of the box" and to turn it into a steak house, something like the old "Berni Inn"or similar.Failing that flaten it and build a multi-story car park on the land.
