Westbury On Trym's Charlotte Leslie is hailed as Dave's most impressive new MP

Charlotte Leslie, Westbury On Trym's new MP, has won praise in a national blog today headlined "Dave's most impressive new MP".

Damian Thompson, editor of Telegraph Blogs, and a journalist who specialises in writing about religion, says the young Conservative MP for the Bristol North West constituency is "exactly the sort of person we want in Parliament".

He says he first met Ms Leslie, who he describes as a "blonde dynamo with just a hint of games mistress" a couple of years ago, and remarks on her intelligence and "boundless good nature" .

He says she grasped the concept of the Big Society long before it appeared in the Tory manifesto.
