New Westbury-on-Trym MP Charlotte Leslie will be going down to the pub tomorrow to connect with her constituents.

Dubbed 'pub politics’, the idea is to have a more informal setting than a traditional surgery.

She will be at the Millhouse in Shirehampton Road from 6pm to 8.30pm and there is no need to book an appointment.

Charlotte, who was elected as Conservative MP for Bristol North West in May, said: “One of the main aims of this first pub politics session is to break down barriers between the public and politicians.

“This is a chance to ask me questions and just have a general chat about the issues of the day in an informal, friendly environment.”

Her next pub politics session takes place on Friday, August 13 at the Westbury Park Tavern.
