Santa's little helper's come in all shapes and sizes it's safe to say and none more so than the faithful reindeer who have the unenviable task of driving a certain sleigh across the world on Christmas Eve ensuring each child receives their chosen gifts.
As the business of Christmas cannot be under-estimated, Park Ranger's at local family attraction Puxton Park are working very closely with their newest arrivals, three Caribou Reindeer who will play a big part in the forthcoming seasonal festivities. The reindeer which form part of a dedicated breeding programme are naturally shy creatures and though now completely at home in their surroundings and purpose built stable, it has required time and patience to build up their confidence to the point that they've become real show-stoppers with visiting families.
This year's festivities will commence on Saturday December 3rd as Father Christmas will make a dazzling entrance (to be revealed nearer the time) where we're offering the families the opportunity to visit our specially created Lapland Grotto (complete with reindeer) without having to pay to come into the Park. With each Caribou currently being trained in the art of sleigh pulling this has all the ingredients of what a magical and authentic Christmas experience should be and looks set to captivate young and old.
Christmas at Puxton Park has always been a special experience and one that's becoming increasing popular. From locally produced home fayre and some great gift ideas in our farm, shop to mouth-watering menu's served up in Meadow's Restaurant we think you'll agree when we say 'Pick a perfect place, pick Puxton Park.
