I am not usually a person that complain about bad service or poor food, in general when the waiter asks the inevitable " and how was your meal ?" i like most utter the usual retorte of "fine thanks" because in my case i do not want to create a " fuss" or embarrass the person attending the table, however there times that one should let those in a position to improve matters know of the experiences frequented in their eateries. The Harvester at the Lamb & Flag Cribbs Causway Bristol is a place where me and my friends will go to get the Harvester experience. I cannot remember an occasion having gone there and not come away feeling dissatisfied. When first open for business the service and food matched most Harvesters around Bristol, but as time has gone on standards have woefully deteriorated. It would be a good exersize for an official to visit this venue unannounced to varify this for themselves. The place is usually busy, but that should not be an indication of popularity or good service, it might mean a lot are putting up with poor quality as this venue is local to the populace. My most recent order for "Prawn and Scampi Combo" arrived consisting of three very small bredded Prawns and four tiny bredded Scampi ( mostly Breadcrumbs) some lukewarm peas on the side' and plain very dry chips that were described on the menu as seasoned fries. All four people in our party later voiced dissapoinment in their meal and the laclustre service received. Sorry but I know these complaints can easily be remedied, lets hope it's sooner rather than later.

Quite possibly the worst food and service in Bristol. Desperate late Sunday afternoon to grab something with the kids as I was driving down the M5. Not as desperate as I was to leave as soon as possible. Luke warm badly cooked steak and chips and apathetic inexperienced staff. Never ever again! Pay your staff, train them and taste your own fare. You will quickly look to improve things Mr Harvester!
